Merino Wool, Longer and Plusher
Tanned from genuine Australian Merino sheepskin, the Tasman has a thick, plush pile with real depth — the kind of sink-your-feet-in feel that comes from using longer-fibre hide.
More Than Just a Rug
Because it's genuine, breathable, natural sheepskin, customers use the Tasman well beyond the living room floor: as a soft surface for kids to play on, a warm spot for a favourite dog or cat to nap on, or draped over a recliner or office chair for texture. Sized generously at approximately 105–110cm x 65cm (measured conservatively from the pelt side, so it's often a little larger in person), it's substantial enough to anchor a space.
As a natural product, expect gentle variation in shade between individual rugs and what's shown on screen. If ordering more than one Tasman, we recommend ordering together in a single order — our team will do their best to match tone across the batch.

Very skinny to what I was expecting to pay for not like pictures
Hi Jo-Ann, we're sorry to hear the rug didn't meet your expectations. From the photo it looks like you have washed the sheepskin rug. A tip is to stretch the sheepskin hide out to shape while the leather is still wet as it is very pliable, this way as the hide dries, it will maintain shape.

I absolutely love my sheep skin. I bought two and put them both by each bedside. They are the last thing I step on before bed, and the first thing I feel when I put my feet on the ground in the morning. So soft and fluffy. Beautiful colour...I just want to lay on it all day!! No smell, no mess, arrived in perfect condition. Perfectly made...10/10. I've never had the money to buy a real sheep skin rug but when I saw the price...and felt the cold winter setting in...(plus a tax return)..I splurged and got two for beside the bed...they are so lovely, I almost don't want to step on it. Well done, highly recommend.
