These rugs come fitted with straps suitable for placing over a chair so that it stays in place. They are also used for meditation, mat time and playtime.

Our lambskin rugs are soft with a dense wool fibre which helps to relieve pressure, provides support and are a great sensory item your children will love.

Our Baby Lambskin Rugs are made from premium, dense and silky Australian lambskins and are carefully selected to ensure consistent quality.


Hypoallergenic and safe for children. We do not use harsh chemicals, so our lambskins are a warm and natural ivory color.

Was not satisfied that the rug came coated in a softening chemical that not only soften the rug, it changed the texture of the rug; making it more pliable and 'stretchable' and thus bigger before washing. Also, giving it a non-authentic feel and appearance, and a chemical smell. These rugs MUST be washed before letting your beloved infant to lay on it. After washing the thoroughly, the rug shrunk down in size, but took on a more authentic texture, appearance and odor. I would recommend washing the rug in a Bi-carbonate based wash with no harsh or strong chemicals, especially if being used for you babys.

Thanks for your review. Our baby rugs are not coated in any softening chemical. The final process of our tanning stage is putting the hide through our ironing machine - it is like a hair straightener which straights out the wool fibres with heat and makes the wool fibres feel soft and look straight. After washing them, the wool fibres will return to a normal natural and slightly textured/curly look which is what you are referring to. While the hide is still wet, we suggest hand stretching it out to retain its shape. Our baby lambskin rugs are certified with OEKO-Tex Standard 100 which verifies that they do not contain any harmful chemicals. Hope this helps clarify things for you :)
